Fruit Punch(With A Zing!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can fruit (no cherries)
    2/3 or 1 c. cognac or bourbon
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 ??? white wine
    1 bottle champagne
Preparation
    Drain can of fruit overnight so that it will be dry.
    (Fresh fruit is better, pineapple, peaches.)
    Mix cognac or bourbon with sugar.
    Stir.
    Add fruit; stir again.
    Place in airtight bowl 1 to 2 days, longer the better.
    Mix wine and fruit mixture. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.
    Add champagne before serving.
    Serves 10 to 15.
