Date Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates
    1 heaping qt. shelled pecans
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 lb. coconut
    1 lb. white raisins
    3/4 lb. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Cut dates.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar and then sift over dates, pecans, coconut and raisins.
    Melt butter and add with vanilla.
    Mix.
    Beat egg yolks until creamy smooth and add.
    Mix well.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in very gently.
    Pour into a greased and lined tube pan.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
