Dad'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    2 slices candied pineapple
    4 eggs
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Grease and flour two 4 x 8-inch loaf pans; preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Break eggs into bowl and beat thoroughly; add sugar and beat well.
    Add baking powder and salt to flour and mix.
    Stir flour mixture into the eggs and sugar batter; add nuts and fruit.
    The pecans, cherries and dates are to be added whole.
    Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
    Serves 12 to 15.
