Taos Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf white bread, toasted
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    3 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. oleo or butter
    1 (9 oz.) pkg. Longhorn cheese
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. pinon nuts, walnuts or peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Add brown sugar to boiling water; add butter until melted (set aside).
    Cut up bread into cubes.
    Layer bread with sliced cheese and raisins.
    Repeat layers.
    Pour the brown sugar mixture over the bread.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until cheese melts, about 25 minutes.
