Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed bananas
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each addition.
    Add bananas and sifted dry ingredients. Blend only enough to moisten flour.
    Add nuts and raisins and pour into oiled loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 1 loaf.
