Virginia Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chilled butter, cut in slices
1 1/2 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
2 Tbsp. cream or milk (or more if needed to produce a soft dough)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Grease a flat baking pan.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir lightly with fork to combine.
Add butter.
With pastry blender; cut in until mixture is coarse and crumbly.
Add sweet potatoes to flour-butter mixture.
Add cream and blend just until soft dough forms.
