Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Put 2 cups milk in medium saucepan.
Add sugar; do not stir. Turn burner on medium-high; bring to a rolling boil.
