Frito Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. pinto beans, sorted and rinsed
    10 c. water
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 slices raw bacon, chopped
    salt, pepper, chili powder and cumin to taste
Preparation
    Choose \"side meat\" with a streak of lean in it.
    Slice thickly and cover with boiling water.
    Return water to a boil.
    Then remove and drain the meat.
    Take a rolling pin and roll the meat until it is thin.
    Dip the meat into cornmeal seasoned with black pepper and paprika.
    Fry in shortening until golden brown.
    A great accompaniment to any kind of greens.
