Potato Soup Duos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 large onion, sliced
    5 c. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. instant chicken or vegetable bouillon
    4 to 5 medium size potatoes (about 1 1/2 lb.), peeled and sliced 1/8-inch thick
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan over a medium heat, saute onion in margarine for 5 minutes.
    Add water, bouillon and potatoes.
    Bring to a boil; cover and cook gently until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
    In two batches, blend until smooth in an electric blender.
    Return to saucepan and use as a base for one of the following soups:
