Ingredients

6 c. flour
1 c. mashed potatoes
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. fast rising yeast
1 c. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. oleo, melted
Preparation

Scald milk and chill.
Drain potatoes and mash.
Mix with milk.
Put Crisco in 1 cup hot potato water.
Cool to lukewarm; add yeast.
Put vanilla and sugar in milk mixture.
Add eggs to potato water.
Add salt and combine potato water and milk mixture. Add flour.
Knead.
Cover in pan and let rise for 2 hours.
Work down.
Cut doughnuts.
Fry in hot grease.
Mix remaining ingredients and glaze.
