Oven Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 qt. popped corn
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white syrup
    2 sticks margarine, chunked
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Stir together the sugar, syrup, margarine and salt.
    Bring to a boil; turn heat down and simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add butter flavoring and soda; mix well.
    It will look odd (that's okay), but stir thoroughly.
    Pour over popped corn in a large roasting pan.
    Roasted, unsalted almonds can be mixed in, if desired, at this point.
    Sit together well, then bake at 250\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring well every 20 minutes.
    Serve warm or cool.
    Store well (if hidden) in lidded, plastic container.
