Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. onions, ground coarsely
10 green tomatoes, ground coarsely
1/2 c. salt
1 Tbsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 c. water
1 medium head cabbage, ground
12 green peppers, ground coarsely
6 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
4 c. cider vinegar
Preparation

Grind vegetables, using coarse blade.
Sprinkle with salt; let stand overnight.
Rinse and drain.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over vegetable mixture.
Heat to boiling.
Simmer 3 minutes. Seal in hot sterilized jars.
Yields 8 pints.
