Pasta With Vodka * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pinch of red pepper flakes
    2 tsp. sweet butter
    1/2 c. vodka
    1 (28 oz.) can Italian crushed tomatoes
    1/2 pt. heavy cream or half and half
    5 to 10 fresh sliced basil leaves
    3/4 c. grated fresh Parmesan or Romano cheese
    1 lb. tubular pasta (such as rigatoni or penne)
Preparation
    Saute red pepper flakes in butter for about 1 minute.
    Add vodka and bring to boil.
    Lower heat; add tomatoes and simmer ten minutes.
    Add cream and basil and simmer briefly.
