Fettuccine Carbonara With Spring Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. ham
    2 carrots
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. cheese
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 lb. fettuccine
    1 pkg. peas, thawed
Preparation
    Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
    Cut ham into 1/2 inch wide strips.
    Cut carrots into very thin rounds.
    In a small bowl, beat the eggs, Parmesan and pepper together.
    Add fettuccine to boiling water and cook until almost done, 8 to 10 minutes.
    Add carrots and peas and cook the pasta and vegetables for 2 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and the carrots are crisp.
    Drain the pasta and spaghetti into the colander, letting the boiling water heat the bowl.
    Pour water out of bowl.
    Add the drained hot pasta and vegetables.
    Pour beaten egg mixture over the hot pasta and toss to cook eggs and coat the pasta.
