Enchilada Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. salad oil
    1 medium chopped onion
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 (1 5/8 oz.) pkg. enchilada or taco mix (dry)
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) pkg. can mushroom soup
    2 (9 oz.) pkg. corn tortillas
    1 can Ro-Tel hot tomatoes
    1 lb. grated cheese
Preparation
    Cook meat in salad oil with onion until brown.
    In saucepan, prepare sauce mix and 6 cups water with mushroom soup.*
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Layer tortillas in large casserole dish and rotate layers of meat, sauce mix, tortillas and cheese for 3 layers. Pour remaining sauce over top and spread remaining cheese.
    Cook 45minutes at 350\u00b0 with cover, then remove cover and cook an additional 15 minutes.
    Serves 6.
