White Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted plain flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    7 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Add butter, Crisco, flavoring and 3/4 cup buttermilk.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Add remaining buttermilk and egg whites.
    Beat 2 minutes more.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Use two 9-inch pans.
    Ice with 7-Minute Frosting or your choice, but cover with coconut.
