Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
25 oz. applesauce
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins (optional)

Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar and applesauce together.
Mix dry ingredients together; add to applesauce mixture.
Add raisins; mix again.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes. When cool, frost with chocolate frosting.
