Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring (1/4 c.)
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    7 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Grease and flour pans.
    Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Add red food coloring and cocoa.
    Blend well. Mix together salt, vanilla and buttermilk.
    Add to the sugar mixture alternately with flour.
    Mix together soda and vinegar. Fold into batter with as little mixing as necessary to distribute evenly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 35 minutes.
