Ingredients

5 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 qt. milk
Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Pour into 1 gallon freezer can.
Freeze and ripen by basic directions if using a hand-crank ice cream churn or follow manufacturer's directions if using an electric freezer.
Makes 1 gallon.
No cooking of custard, this refreshing dessert tastes like ice milk.
