Granny'S Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour (self-rising)
    8 oz. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 pkg. frozen coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla. Sift flour; measure.
    Add salt and soda to flour; sift again.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, adding sour cream.
    Add thawed coconut, mixing well.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 until done (about 1 hour and 15 minutes) or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
