Toffee Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
    10 plain Hershey bars
Preparation
    Put butter (margarine), sugar and nuts in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil and stir constantly until thermometer reaches 300\u00b0 (hard crack).
    Pour into cookie sheet and spread evenly.
    Top immediately with Hershey bars and spread when melted over the toffee mixture.
    Refrigerate.
    Chop into bite size pieces and refrigerate to store.
