German Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 large potatoes, pared
    5 carrots, sliced
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    2 Tbsp. catsup
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 (3 oz.) can French onion rings
Preparation
    Parboil the potatoes and carrots for 20 minutes. Slice potatoes thinly. Brown beef and onion. Drain excess grease; set aside.
    Mix soup, catsup and mushrooms.
    Butter a 2-quart casserole.
    Layer beef-onion mixture, potatoes, soup mixture and carrots.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Top with onion rings and return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes until onion rings are crisp and brown.
    Slice the potatoes before cooking and also carrots.
