Molded Cherries Jubilee(Makes 6 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can pitted dark sweet cherries
water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. black or red cherry flavored gelatin
1/2 c. Port wine
1/2 c. slivered almonds
softened vanilla ice cream or slightly sweetened whipped cream
Preparation

Drain syrup from cherries into pint measuring cup; add water to measure 1 3/4 cups liquid.
Bring to simmering in saucepan; remove from heat.
Add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Add Port, almonds and drained cherries.
Spoon into dessert dishes and chill until firm.
Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream just before serving
