French Meat Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground pork
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 to 1 1/2 qt. water
    1 medium chopped onion
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. mashed potatoes (no milk or butter added)
Preparation
    Place all ingredients, but mashed potatoes, in large saucepan with cover.
    Bring to boil, then simmer for 6 to 8 hours, until all onion is dissolved and water is gone.
    Add mashed potatoes and mix well.
    Now you are ready to put in your favorite pie crust. Top with pie crust.
    Bake in oven at 400\u00b0 until crust is brown. This may be eaten cold or hot with beef or chicken gravy.
    This mixture is great when used to stuff your turkey or chicken with.
