Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 stick margarine or butter
    3 c. thinly sliced onions
    3/4 c. milk
    2 lightly beaten eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. shredded sharp cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet; add onions.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender, not brown.
    In saucepan, beat eggs with fork, add milk, salt and pepper.
    Stir over medium heat until hot, do not boil.
    Place cooked onions in pie plate with crust, pour egg mixture over onion and sprinkle with cheese.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Serve hot.
    Cut in wedges.
    Great served with steak.
