Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
3/4 c. sugar
5 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 1/2 c. coconut
2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
meringue
Preparation

Place milk in 4-cup bowl.
Heat in microwave on Level 8 (Medium High) 5 to 6 minutes until scalded.
Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in 2-quart bowl.
Stir hot milk in slowly.
Stir about 3/4 cup hot milk in yolks.
Stir constantly.
Return egg mix to bowl.
Cook Level 8 for 5 to 6 minutes until thick.
Stir often. Add coconut, butter and vanilla.
Pour in pie shell.
Top with meringue.
Brown.
