Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/3 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix 1 1/2 cups flour and remaining ingredients.
    Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium; stir in remaining flour.
    Heat oil to 375\u00b0.
    Roll dough on floured board to 3/8 inch thick.
    Cut and put into hot oil.
    Fry 2 or 3 minutes until brown on both sides.
    Do not prick; drain.
    Serve plain or sugared or frosted.
    Makes 2 dozen doughnuts.
