Baked Elbow Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. elbow macaroni
    1 c. grated sharp cheese
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Melt butter; stir in flour, pepper and salt, if desired.
    Add milk gradually and cheese; continue to cook until cheese is melted.
    Cook macaroni as directed on side of box.
    Combine sauce with drained macaroni and pour into a greased casserole.
    Top with buttered
    bread crumbs and bake in moderately hot oven for about 20 minutes.
