Pineapple Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. corn meal
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    3/4 c. crushed pineapple, well drained
    1/4 c. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Sift flour; measure.
    Add baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
    Sift again and add corn meal; mix thoroughly.
    Combine egg, milk, crushed pineapple and shortening.
    Pour into flour mixture and stir just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
    Do not beat.
    Turn into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 50 minutes.
    Cut into squares and serve hot.
