Oreo Cake (Dirt Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. pkg. Oreo cookies (any variety)
1 stick butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
2 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
2 boxes (small) instant pudding (vanilla and chocolate or 2 chocolate; mix as directed)

Preparation

Crush Oreos (reserve 6 or 7 to top cake).
Place in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Melt butter.
Pour over Oreos.
Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese and 8 ounces Cool Whip.
Add 3 tablespoons milk if too lumpy.
Spread over Oreo mixture.
Mix pudding according to box. Layer over cream cheese mixture.
Next top with 8 ounces Cool Whip.
Sprinkle crushed Oreos over Cool Whip.
If using mini Oreos, can replace whole Oreos on top to decorate.
