Common Market Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 stalks broccoli
    1 onion (purple onion only)
    1 small jar pimento
    1 green pepper, cut in cubes
    1 jar green olives
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 packet Good Season's Italian dressing mix
Preparation
    Cut broccoli into florets and the stalks into small pieces. Steam until bright green, but still crunchy.
    Drain and cool.
    Add the next 5 ingredients (vegetables) to broccoli.
    Mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar and Good Seasons dressing mix together and pour over broccoli mix.
    Marinate for at least 3 hours.
    (I prefer overnight.)
    You may add cauliflower, if desired.
