Scotchies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 sticks oleo
    1 box brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. quick cooking oats
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and
    salt together.
    Cream shortening, add sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Stir
    in flour mixture, oats and pecans. Drop by spoonfuls on
    greased
    cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
