Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 1/4 c. boiling water
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cocoa
1 c. chocolate chips
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Mix all but last three ingredients together and place in greased cake pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips, sugar and nuts over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
