Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. onion, minced
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. celery, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3/4 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1 small bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    dash of hot pepper sauce
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen, cooked shrimp, thawed
    hot cooked rice (optional)
Preparation
    In a
    medium skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.
    Add garlic powder and celery.
    Saute 3 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients except shrimp and rice. Cover. Simmer 10 minutes. Add shrimp.
    Heat through over low heat.
    Discard bay leaf.
    Serve over rice.
    Makes 2 servings.
