English Buttermilk Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. unbleached flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 stick margarine
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Grease baking sheet, but don't heat. Sift dry items into a bowl.
    Rub in shortening and margarine to get a moist, sand-like texture.
    Chill, covered, 30 minutes.
