Chicken Flautas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (2 1/2 lb.) fryer, cut up
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 c. water
1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 (4 oz.) can chilies, diced
1 clove garlic
Preparation

Boil chicken in water until tender.
Drain and save 1/2 cup of broth.
Cool chicken; remove from bone and remove skin.
Chop chicken.
In large saucepan, saute onion and garlic 1 minute.
Add 1/2 cup broth, salt and pepper, cornstarch, chicken and chilies. Cook until thick.
Saute 12 corn tortillas until pliable.
Place chicken mixture in center of each.
Fold or roll tortillas and place, seam side down in hot oil in large skillet.
Fry until golden brown; drain on paper towel and serve hot with Sour Cream Sauce.
