Chicken A La King - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1/4 c. diced green pepper
6 Tbsp. flour
3 c. half and half
4 c. cubed, cooked chicken
1 (4 oz.) jar diced, drained pimentos
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. sherry
1 tsp. salt
8 pastry shells, warmed
Preparation

In skillet over medium heat, in hot butter cook mushrooms and green pepper 5 minutes.
Stir in flour until blended.
Gradually stir in half and half and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add chicken and pimentos.
Heat to boiling, stirring often.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover and cook 5 minutes.
