Cinnamon Apple Crisp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. red cinnamon candies (see tip)
1 c. boiling water
6 medium apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1 pkg. Duncan Hines moist deluxe white cake mix
1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
frozen whipped topping, thawed
crushed red cinnamon candies
mint leaves for garnish
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Dissolve 1 tablespoon cinnamon candies in boiling water. Arrange apple slices in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Pour cinnamon flavored water over top. Combine cake mix, brown sugar and melted butter in a large bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended (mixture will be crumbly).
Sprinkle crumbs over apple slices. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Serve with whipped topping, crushed cinnamon candies and mint leaves, if desired.
