Tomato Catsup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qts. tomato juice
    4 c. white sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    6 med. size onions
    4 tsp. salt
    Dash of black Pepper
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    4 Tbsp. Flour
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except onions and flour.
    Cut up onions and tie in a cloth bag; put in catsup while boiling.
    You may adjust the amounts of spices to suit your taste.
    Cook for 2 hours.
    Make a batter out of 4 Tbsp. flour and add to catsup to thicken.
    Stir constantly so it doesn't get lumpy.
    If it does get lumpy, run through a sieve.
