Ingredients

1 lb. dates, cut up
1 egg
1 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation

Cook dates, egg, butter and brown sugar in a heavy frying pan over low heat until thick, like marmalade.
Stir in vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.
Cool.
Butter hands and roll mixture into balls.
The balls may be rolled in powdered or granulated sugar.
