Filled Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. Crisco
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. milk
    flour to make a soft dough
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco, add eggs, milk, soda and tartar.
    Blend together, then add flour.
    Roll out on floured board and cut with water glass.
    Put one on bottom.
    Add filling and put one on top. Cut slit in top cookie.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 400\u00b0.
