Pesto - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large cloves garlic, peeled
    1 c. fresh basil leaves (or 4 Tbsp. dried basil, 1 c. fresh parsley and 1/3 c. water)
    1/4 c. pine nuts
    1/4 c. salt
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a blender or food processor, combine garlic, basil, pine nuts and salt.
    Blend at low speed until ingredients are chopped fine and form a paste.
    Gradually blend in oil alternately with cheese, blending until well mixed.
    Store in a jar and cover with a layer of olive oil.
    Keep refrigerated.
    Makes 1 cup.
