Ingredients

1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. old-fashioned oats
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. dried whole cherries
1 1/4 c. good-quality white chocolate chunks
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together with an electric mixer. Add eggs, mixing well, followed by vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture in several additions. Stir in dried cherries and white chocolate chunks. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheets 1-inch apart. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
