Potato Latkes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium potatoes
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. grated onion, drained
    1/2 tsp. salt
    oil
    sour cream
    applesauce
Preparation
    Peel and shred potatoes (2 cups).
    Place potatoes in colander; press down to extract as much liquid as possible.
    In medium bowl, lightly beat eggs with onion.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper and the potatoes.
    In large skillet, heat 1/2-inch oil to 350\u00b0.
    Spoon tablespoon of potato mixture into hot oil, a few inches apart.
    Flatten each to about 2 1/2-inch circle.
    Fry until golden brown, turning once.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Keep warm in 200\u00b0 oven.
    Serve with desired topping.
