Vanilla Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream together the butter or margarine, shortening and sugar.
    Add vanilla and salt.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in flour; mix well.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Flatten with flat bottomed tumbler.
    Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are delicately browned.
    Remove immediately from cookie sheet.
    Makes 6 dozen.
