Lentil Pilaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 garlic clove, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1 celery stalk, diced
3 to 4 carrots, diced
1 c. dry lentils
1 (10 to 14 oz.) can chicken broth
2 c. cold water
1 tsp. chicken seasoning
1 tsp. olive oil
1/2 c. rice
Preparation

With oil, saute garlic and green onion in a stock pot.
Add celery and carrots, let the mixture saute for about 5 minutes. Add lentils, chicken broth, seasonings and water.
Simmer covered for about 30 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
Add rice and more water if necessary.
Look at the rice package for cooking time.
Once all water is absorbed, serve with fresh cornbread!
