Nielsen'S Apple Cheese Wild Rice Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. wild rice, cooked in chicken bouillon, according to basic or pkg. directions
1 medium to large onion, chopped
5 ribs celery, sliced
1/4 c. water
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans cream of celery soup
1/2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese
3 apples, cored and chopped (not peeled)
Preparation

Prepare the wild rice.
Simmer the onion and celery in the 1/4 cup water about 5 minutes.
Add this, with the water, to the rice. Stir the soup until smooth and stir this and the cheeses into the rice.
Either on stove top or in a casserole in the oven, cook until heated through, 20 to 30 minutes.
Add the apple pieces and continue to cook another 15 minutes.
Serves 12 to 15.
