Ranch Cheese Ball - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    6 oz. cream cheese
    1 envelope Ranch salad dressing mix
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    5 oz. sliced, toasted almonds
    1/2 c. milk
    1 pkg. thin sliced ham, shredded (optional)
Preparation
    Let Cheddar and cream cheese stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
    Combine salad dressing mix, mayonnaise and milk in mixer bowl; mix well.
    Add cream cheese; beat until smooth.
    Add Cheddar cheese and ham; mix well.
    Chill, covered, in freezer for 30 minutes.
    Shape into ball; coat with almonds.
