Country Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1/2 c. water
    2 green onions, chopped
    2 slices bacon, fried (include drippings)
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cut cabbage in strips or wedges.
    Cook in heavy saucepan with all the seasonings.
    Fry onions and bacon together and pour over cabbage.
    Use bacon drippings, too.
    Cover and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
    Serve hot.
