Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk
    3 beaten egg yolks
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar and salt; add scalded milk and egg yolks. Cook until thick.
    Caramelize 1/2 cup sugar and add 1/4 cup butter. Mix well into milk mixture.
    Add vanilla; let cool.
    Pour into baked pie shell and put meringue of 3 egg whites on top.
    Brown at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or more.
